Historic day for Grupo Éxito´s shares: Éxito´s ADRs and BDRs began trading on the New York Stock Exchange NYSE and Brazil's B3, respectively

83.26% of Éxito's outstanding common shares that were owned by GPA (Grupo Pao de Azucar) were transferred to the ADRs and BDRs programs

This project seeks to increase the liquidity of the company's shares, substantially expanding its shareholder base from around 4,800 shareholders to more than 50,000, and its float from 3.48% to approximately 53%

Éxito's share (through the respective depository receipts) was registered in the markets of the United States and Brazil, in addition to the colombian stock market, thus being the only company in the country with participation in these three markets

Today, August 23, Éxito´s ADRs began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “EXTO” and Éxito´s BDRs on the B3 Stock Exchange in Brazil under the symbol “EXCO32”.

The trading of ADRs and BDRs occurs as a consequence of the spin-off process reported to the market in 2022 and approved by the shareholders of Companhia Brasileria de Distribuição (GPA) on February 14, 2023. Said spin-off resulted in the transfer of 83.26% of Éxito's outstanding common shares, which to date were owned by GPA, to Itaú Unibanco S.A. as depositary of Éxito´s Brazilian Depository Receipts Level II (“BDRs II”) and J.P. Morgan Chase Banck NA FOB as depositary of Éxito´s American Depositary Receipts Level II program (“ADRs II”).

Remember that this project was announced on September 5, 2022 and its objective has been to generate greater liquidity for Éxito share, which would bring potential benefits for all the company's shareholders; it is expected that the company's shareholders base will go from around 4,800 shareholders to more than 50,000 and its float from 3.48% to approximately 53%, which would make Éxito one of the companies with the largest share float in the Colombian stock exchange.

Grupo Éxito thus becomes the only company in the country to have its shares listed on the Stock Exchange of the United States, Brazil and Colombia.
